Beware the beast from the east

No, not our nocturnal visitor, who is most welcome.

I refer, of course, to the wind coming from the east that apparently is going to make the UK colder than Russia.

So it's no night for a hedgehog to be out. We concluded s/he must have been hungry to get so close to the house. I grabbed a handful of cat biscuits and s/he tucked in gratefully. Clearly content enough for me to blip from a yard away.

No wonder the cat was so keen to be out. He wanted to play but we were having none of it, so we took it in turns keeping him away from the hedgehog! He seemed to have more fun avoiding us so the hedgehog was free to enjoy the food.
