A view from St Swithin

Greymore

We’d our last trip today to Aberdeenshire for a while - level 3 restrictions start tomorrow and travel outside the city will be frowned upon.

We ended up on the Hill of Fare in lovely sunny conditions. We climbed a couple of tops - this is Greymore ( 393m) which gave us great views across to the north and Bennachie.

Greymore ( like most hills) appears in a list of hills called Tumps. These are hills of any height with at least 30m drop on all sides. There are currently ~ 17000 Tumps in the UK and people collect/bag them. I’m glad I stuck to Munros.
