Tales from the Riverbank.

Thomas was so keen to go fishing this morning. Got our bread, maggots and worms. Headed to the Avon at Little Durnford. The brown trout went back into the river, closed season for them now. He then caught a lovely chub. Only two fish , but what fun. I caught nothing. There are otters about now on this stretch, after an absence of around sixty years. Much looking forward to seeing one, and  i hope next spring there will be more water voles.
