Reflected

A quiet pre-Christmas day largely at home. I (Chris) popped over to Brill mid-afternoon just to get a bit of fresh air more than anything else. We've had a lot of rain this week but I was surprised how wet it was, good to have my wellies in the boot of the car.

I arrived home to watch the government briefing, we'll be in Tier 4 so it will be just the two of us for Christmas. Are we allowed to eat Christmas dinner on our laps?

Edit January 2021: The news about tier 4 (essentially another lockdown) didn't surprise or affect us that much, compared to some. We wouldn't be able to host Chris' parents for lunch, which was a shame. Anne (Annie's stepmum) chose not to come although legally able to (she's in our support bubble), to be risk averse. We weren't going to see the girls anyway - they'd chosen to visit their aunt with their mum, and the Christmas bubble wouldn't be big enough to allow time with us. Their plans had to change for them to stay at home, but (not) seeing us would be no different. We planned to make the best of things, minimise the groceries bought, and eat the chocolate pile while relaxing the two of us.

The rules for other tiers were also changed to only allow mixing on Christmas day itself.
