If you can't beat them...

Festive Table.

The day started very unusually, we went to the cinema.   I have never been to a film that started at 9:15 before.   Friends had bought "The Mate" as private showing of a film of his choice at our local cinema.  I think the private showings are a way of helping income in these troubled times.  You can take as many people as you want provided they are in household groups and sit with two seats between groups and nobody directly behind others.   We were however a very select group of five.

After lunch with guests arriving at the Lodge for Christmas we went out to deal with the things we had forgotten yesterday.  We always leave the table set and a welcome pack including a bottle of wine.  For Christmas of course it has to be a bit special.

Before anyone suggests the wrong wine glasses are set the bubbles are in the fridge.  Where else?
