Trial Run

We went out for our pre-breakfast not the park run run this morning and felt much better for it after our spell of isolation. The rest of the morning was spent getting odds and ends we needed for Christmas. (Little did we know!)

This afternoon we had our regular Saturday walk with Chris and got back just in time to hear the news of Boris's latest U turn. Obviously the situation is dire and something needed to be done but, as Keir Starmer said at the time, he should have had the courage to make the decision several days ago as the experts were advising rather than reassuring people that they would be able to meet up over 5 days. I feel sorry for him in a way in that the situation he has found himself in is so difficult but his dithering and indecision would be unbelievable, if we hadn't known what he was like before he was elected!

We'll be able at least to spend some time with the family here on Christmas Day and hopefully meet up outside on Boxing Day; it's people in Tier 4 I feel sorry for, especially those who live alone.

Anyway, I took this photo of Santa and his reindeer having a trial run before Boris's announcement.
