Mad Dash

We had been hoping to have our London girls and our sons-in-law here with us for Christmas although there was always a niggle that it might not happen.

After the announcement late this afternoon, we gathered up the Christmas gifts and stockings and drove to a service station on the A1 to meet eldest and her hubby so we could swap Christmas presents before London goes into lockdown at midnight.

The car park was full of other car loads of people doing just the same as we were.
I’m sad that our plans have changed but glad that we have clarity. I’m sure it’s the right decision.

Looking forward to having them all here for Christmas dinner one day, even if it’s in the middle of the summer!
