WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

Fixer Upper!

It is on National Trust property so hence the scaffolding. Apparently they have made it safe with a view to doing it up.
I blipped it at Malham Tarn yesterday. I've never taken part in any of the Tags on Blip but thought I would do Derelict Sunday.

Frank took Bella May for her walk at 7am then we drove to Skipton to do our click and collect at Morrison's at 8am. It was good to get it done early. We were home about 8.45 for our second coffee. (We always have one with and one without caffeine - the day doesn't start until I've had my 2nd!)

The rest of the day has been quite lazy.
We took Bella for her afternoon walk but didn't go far - just to The Peel and back. (A small castle or fortified house in Hellifield).

We watched good, heartwarming Christmas film at lunchtime called Dude Where's My Donkey with Martin Clunes, Catherine Tate and Marc Wootton plus loads of children which makes a film for me. It would be a lovely film to watch with the Grandkids. Maybe next year ;-)

THIS BIT EDITED AFTER SPEAKING TO SiL.
Sabrina said the girls will be home schooling till 18th January because of the new restrictions in Scotland. She said secondary schools in their area have high numbers of kids with Covid. Luckily Amelia and Lucy's School haven't got any cases that we know of. Poppy and Arlo will be in the same restrictions even though they go to a very small village school in SW Scotland. Isla and Arón also go to a village school way out in the country in County Antrim but I'm not sure about their restrictions.

I feel for all those who now cannot visit elderly relatives who will be alone at Christmas. Also lots of people have gifts under their trees for relatives they thought they would see at Christmas and now it is too late to send them by post. If only they had banned festive visits when they were advised to weeks ago. All the virologists and scientists told them it was madness to allow people to mix in each others households but they didn't follow the expert advice - as usual. The footage of people in London train stations yesterday fleeing the capital is awful. It won't be long until this new variant which os mpre infective than the original one will be all over the country.
I know it's hard, we are sad too but we all have to just stay put if we possibly can to save lives! Rant over ;-/

Jim jam time now, I'll plonk a bit on ukulele, read the papers then it will be book and bed time.

Goodnight. Stay safe everyone. :-)
