Morning light on Braes of Doune

Caught the fleeting early morning light on the wind farm on the Braes of Doune.

This wind farm was a source of controversy but by the time we realised what was happening they had already erected several turbines.
The editor of the local paper apologised for it saying that they had failed in their duty to alert the community to it.

And one MSP told me (off the record) that this the worst designed wind farm in Scotland because of it obtrusive nature.

So how did it happen? Well permission for the windfarm was granted five years before it was built.  Yes there had been some muttering at the time but it came to nothing.

Then one morning we woke up literally to find the first of nearly fifty turbines had been installed.

It’s highly visible for miles around including Stirling castle.
