Happy winter solstice

Picked DS up from Oxford, his room there is 7x6, feet, not meters, it’s tiny he can’t pace up and down, he either sits on his chair, or lies on his bed. So for mental health reasons if nothing else, he’s here for the holiday.
We stopped in stow on the way home, to try and buy veg from a local shop, but there wasn’t a veg shop. Supermarkets, butcher, baker (patisserie anglaise if you please) and a candlestick maker, but no greengrocers.
I went to Morrison’s after we got home, himself went for a nap, not sure why he’s so tired I was the one who left home at 820 to pick him up,.
Anyway, we had a lovely drive through the English countryside, cotswolds, Worcestershire,
The Porch House, Guineas book of records says this the oldest Inn in England, serving since 947. I thought one of the Nottingham pubs was the record holder... apparently not.
