Solstice Snowfall

I took this view just a few steps away from our front door this afternoon -- we hadn't expected a solstice snowfall! 

Our cul-de-sac is flat, but there's a steep hill down to the road into Bellingham. I'm glad that the snow is unlikely to last... 

A kind neighbor came by in her snow garb to drop off at a safe distance a handsome jacket for Hamish to wear in rain or cold weather -- see the extra. A small white dog in snow would be very hard to spot!
