Garage Meet

Mr MD and I drove over to Congleton today to deliver presents for Julia, Sam and Alice.    We sat socially distanced in their garage with a heater on and the door open, drank tea and ate mince pies.   Ozzie the cat joined us and jumped up onto Sam's knee whereupon Sam tucked him into his jacket saying he felt like a hot water bottle.   Oz must have liked it because he stayed there for ages.   We've had long telephone conversations this week as to how we should spend Christmas and in view of the fact that none of us are allowed to sleep over - and the latest developments - we decided it was best for us all to remain in our own homes.   Very sad and disappointing but safety for everyone must come first.   We haven't seen Alice since August and she has changed tremendously but still an absolute delight. Regretfully, there were no hugs  - apart from a 'leg hug' as we left - I think she coped very well with the social restrictions.
