The longest night

Glad to see the back of the longest night, the passing of the Winter Solstice.

Walking through Bridge of Allan late this afternoon  (it gets dark early in our part of the world) the air is frosty and I pass a young man not wearing a mask.

His breath hangs in the air like a mini cloud with droplets circulating and I think: “My God! If he had this mutant virus how many would he infect simply walking down the street?”

We don’t know.

It was a wake -up call because until now I have not always worn a mask while walking through town and the streets are busy with last minute shoppers especially with the announcement that Scotland goes into total lockdown on Boxing day.
