What a difference a day makes

Anyone seeing yesterday’s photo wouldn’t believe he is a poodle. Bathed and cut (short, summer cut, in case of another lockdown!). 

Counting my own blessings this evening having heard of some sad friends today. One who is very poorly with cancer, and no sign of any improvement even with chemo. One who lost her mum today. And another simply going through the mill with her mum who caught COVID following a hip operation, who then gave it to her son who had come to care for her. The respite home couldn’t take my friends dad with Parkinson’s because of COVID, so he is staying with them, and thoroughly confused. 

It’s a wretched year.
