Dipper

I took my long lens out in the hope of capturing the nearby Kingfisher. I saw it briefly but it flew immediately; clearly more stealth is needed.

The compensation was several minutes watching a Dipper in a small burn. This was the first time I have noticed the dipper's white eyelids flashing (see extra). Despite the dipper's cooperation many of my shots were blurred by movement or out of focus. I'll have to improve my technique to stand a chance with the kingfisher.
