An apple from the fruit bowl

My next door neighbour popped round this morning to tell me that he had just seen the lesser whitethroat that I told him about a couple of days ago. So, I kept my eyes peeled all morning but of course it didn’t appear. So I made some shortbread for Christmas Day instead. 
Since the weather was cold wet and windy we decided against a walk and instead spent the afternoon and half of the evening binge watching the whole series of “The Undoing”. Thanks to those that recommended it - we loved it!
