Christmas boxes

Helping out with Christmas food  box delivery. The boxes  are  brought in by mini bus from the local distribution centre and  transferred to volunteers' cars to be taken to the addresses of the (anonymous) recipients.

This is only an occasional task for us but we are grateful to the folk who keep the scheme going, supporting people in need of basic  essentials that for one reason or another they cannot supply for themselves. Financial assistance is also very much needed the food banks, and not just at this season of the year.

The day was one of non-stop rain, grey skies and surface water  with no where to go on the saturated ground.

Later we watched The Death of Stalin again, which is well worth a second viewing. It's available on iPlayer and if you haven't seen it you have a treat in store - black comedy for dark nights.
