It wasn't raining, the sun was shining and the overnight frost had all disappeared, so we decided get a bit of mud free exercise by walking into town.
Looking through the shopping centre doors revealed that, while it wasn't exactly heaving with people, it was busy enough to feel that although the risk was slight it was also unnecessary.
The whole of the marketplace contained probably only a couple of dozen people. Not surprising, these days it's a poor affair, and on top of a hill with a brisk winter breeze, it's hardly a place to linger.
