Not a Christmasy blip at all, just for my records really.   This was my garden this morning, the river has burst it's bank and these Alders normally on top of the bank are now standing in water.   The bank is normally about six feet from top to the water so the river has risen about seven or eight feet approx.    All the low lying farmland is under water, I hope we don't get any more rain for a few days as I noticed, when I came home from my son's a little while ago that the water has come further up into the garden.
Apart from that Luna and I have had a wonderful day with Steven and family and the Christmas Lunch was delicious, there was just enough left for me to bring home for tomorrows lunch!!
