Christmas Day

A very different sort of Christmas Day but we're in no way unique in that. After opening our presents for each other, we made various phone calls to family and had a Zoom call with Immy and Rosie, opening our presents to each other on the call. Annie did a fabulous lunch with all the trimmings.

With lunch settled, we took a walk down to Eythrope, the sun was already lower than yesterday and the clouds made the light very contrasty so some exposure bracketing and blending was needed to get a good photo.

We came home and Annie had her first try of the homemade Christmas cake (I had a very small corner) and it was excellent. We didn't eat much more, still full of lunch.

Hope everyone has enjoyed their day.

Edit January 2021: The reason we're all compromising - today the number of recorded COVID-related deaths in the UK passes 70,000 after a further 570 deaths take the total to 70,195.
