Tranquility

Hectic day repairing things & not finding the tiny parts that were needed. The boot lock of my new old 1995 VW Polo & then Angie reported one of her car's headlights had gone. Luckily t is relatively easy to change the bulbs on her car, relative being the word. Some manufacturers seem to build their cars so that you have no chance of DIY but are forced to go to a dealership. Great if you are driving at night on a rain soaked autobahn.

As always the odd screw fell off and landed somewhere in the depths of the engine compartment & after half an hour of feeling around while lying on the ground and a few light cuts on the hands, the wretched thing is found.

We have half a dozen half used car spare lamp boxes but naturally not the one needed. So I set off for Ottobeuren  before supermarket closed at 8:00pm & got one, naturally at a totally ridiculously expensive price. Having dismantled all the plastic coverings & brackets, I wasn't prepared to put it all back together again & wait until Monday only to repeat the exercise.

Never mind, then got to have a lovely very tranquil walk with Luna on our "Schickling Walk" alongside the West Günz River & the conservation area which leaves the river to do its own thing and the beavers theirs. Straight out of the camera.

Extra of son-in-law Barry in Ireland taking the chance of a pause in their strict lockdown measures to spend a weekend motorbiking & camping with a friend. This year his trips to various motorbike events in Ireland, Northern Ireland & even for instance UK GP last year, of course all cancelled.
