Ho Ho Ho!

A day of connecting with family and friends online to celebrate Covid Christmas. It's been years since we've had a real Christmas tree, but I dug out the Charlie Brown tree and arranged the presents that we got from Renata, James and Kalyn around it. (1st extra) We don't get each other presents - what could two people who have enough of everything possibly buy for each other?  We enjoy each other's company and that's present enough.  :-)
We FaceTimed with Renata, James, Krista, Dan and Kalyn last night and this morning. So good to see them! Renata sent us a photo of Krista and Kalyn from last night, wearing their new Christmas pjs. Dan and Cooper photobombed the photo! (2nd extra).
We then FaceTimed with Beaches Doogie and Impy and had so many laughs, my stomach hurt afterwards. When they moved to Vancouver Island, we thought that we might be able to spend this Christmas together, but obviously that wasn't meant to be. Maybe next year. So good to share laughs on Christmas Day though.
Then we talked with our old friend Bill from teaching days. He's a bachelor so it was good to talk with him too and have some more laughs.
Now it's time to finish making Laksa, the soup that we've had for a few years now on Christmas Day. It's so delicious. I always think of our Australian family (not related but definitely family) who introduced us to Laksa when we visited them in Adelaide. Good memories of them, very special to us. We think of their two daughters as our Australian granddaughters, and they're close in age to Krista and Kalyn.
All in all, a lovely quiet day for the two of us. Hope everyone in Blipland hand a lovely day as well.
