Brackets

I took a walk into the local Hartley Woods and as usual kept my eye out for some interesting fungi.  Today there were some wonderful examples of an orange bracket fungus throughout the woods (main image), but I also saw some "bachelor's buttons" and "wood-ear" jelly fungus among others (extras). To complete my walk, I spotted some red-legged partridges marching across the playground of a local school ... Xmas dinner anyone?
