Day 277 'Twas the Night before Christmas

Despite the fact that there has been relatively little to do, I am now backblipping both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day on Boxing Day: doing not very much seems to take up as much time as doing a lot!

Today the only church service that wasn't cancelled ( in favour of putting them online) was the Midnight Mass attended by The Son and Mr MC.  We girls were safely tucked up in bed by the time they returned.
As usual during the day the food for tomorrow's Christmas dinner was prepared as far as possible, although much of the work fell to Mr MC as I'm so slow hobbling about.  I did manage to finish wrapping our presents though: a lifetime of kneeling on the floor to do so seems to be a habit that I can't break but I regretted it afterwards!
A new Tradition for us is Christmas Eve bags for the ladies, provided Daughter #1 and her partner, containing new Christmas pyjamas amongst other treats.
Another new activity, which may become a tradition, is the ringing of jingle bells at 6pm, Christmas Eve, wherever in the world you may be> This has been started by a Facebook group that I've joined, now called Worldwide Christmas Eve Jingle Buddies, Est 2020.  Of course we were the only ones in our street to do this as were many others around the world but hopefully the idea will grow.  See extras for another poor quality phone  a pic.
