A very wet and windy Boxing Day, and we have not been out and have been enjoying old films on TV.  Thoroughly enjoyed 'Calamity Jane'..... it is yonks old but still had an appeal.

We had a thoroughly nice Christmas yesterday with Cali, a nice meal and some TV and some games too.  We saw the rest of the family on Christmas Eve for exchange of presents and chat, and then we were all in our respective bubbles due to Covid.  Let's hope everyone followed the rules and we are all safe and don't have a surge in cases.

We were given some beautiful gifts, and it has been quite an alcoholic Christmas this year, both given and received.  The HG has loads of Baileys, will keep him going for months, and I have a LOT of gin!!!!

Now all of mainland Scotland is on Level 4 shutdown, including the isles of Arran and Skye.  No restaurants, non essential shops, hairdressers, nail salons, garden centres, DIY stores, etc. No meeting indoors.  Only some takeaways for those who need them.  It seems to be harder this time around, due I suppose to the weather; in March we were coming into the spring and summer months, and we all embraced our gardens, and walking, and there was a lot of enthusiasm to do the right thing.  Now we are all a bit weary, the weather is not conducive to going long pleasurable walks, the garden is pretty dead at this time of year.  But we will hopefully all do our best and the situation will be reviewed in three weeks.

And today we get to eat leftovers!
