Crackers .....

We weren't going to buy crackers this year - partly because it would just be the two of us but also because I find the trinkets somewhat of a waste (bah humbug). However Mr T found sound recycleable ones whch came with a table top games. It is good quality (and so we can pack away for next year) - however we will have to wait until after boxing day leftoevers when we pull the final two crackers to play properly.

I hope everyone had a good day yesterday, despite the circumstances. It was only the second time we had spent Christmas a deux - the first being over 25 years ago not too long after we meet and that was in a hotel rather than at home.  However we still did hear and then see A open her presents  (we shifted from phone call to video call part way through) and so shared in her delight when she discovered that one of her presents her filled stocking wrapped.   We also a had video call with R in Oxford as well as chatting with other family members and friends by phone or online.

T made Christmas Dinner while I curled up with an undemanding "cosy historical  mystery" and afterwards we went back in time to 1980s Glasgow and "Comfort and Joy".

We also fitted in a walk through the Black Spout Wood (unlike today when my daily walk was reduced to a walk round half the park due to the weather).
