Still Christmassy

I'm not sure how long it takes to get from Mesapotamia (let's say environs of Baghdad) to Bethlehem. Satnav gives me a rough estimate but doesn't give the option of going by camel. Anyway the Magi should be due some day soon.

The gift of myrrh is supposed to be a reference to embalming after death, but I understand it was widely used as a general antiseptic too. A very early sort of TCP.  So here's an antique shop example from the early 20th century, to keep us going until the camel train turns up, via Herod.
