Buns

Book group last night and 'cupcakes' for supper. My mother baked ' buns' every Saturday night. Good plain buns until a special occasion and then they would be transformed into fairy cakes. Fresh whipped cream and wee wings from the top of the bun and a sprinkle of icing sugar or butter icing with wings depending on visitor or maybe contribution for a coffee morning. They filled an old Quality Street sweetie tin. A large tin. Double the size of today's tins!
