Autumn

Despite Angie's howling, some things have to be cut back & especially hawthorn type shrubs with their 5 cm long thorns directly where we and animals often go by.

We can't legally have bonfires in Germany & I can't ne bothered to load it all on a trailer to the recycling yard, so shred the branches and let them rot/compost. fattest bits get cut up for firewood even if not economically worth the effort.

You may see my chainsaw bottom right which Angie brought back from service with her new second hand Honda lawn tractor. A few days after getting it, had a visitor who quickly wanted to saw something. Got the saw and using same technique shown to me from when I bought it new several years ago, tried to start it. It had always worked in the past. Now nothing, not slightest sign of wanting to start. The visitor a professional who works with chainsaws every day had a go - nothing.

The following day, before I set off to the dealer who has an excellent reputation, just tried it one more time, but not doing anything more than press the priming bulb once. No choke nothing else. Whhhoooooom. It worked better than it had ever done, better than the demo given to me when new!
