Christmas charity vehicle run

Recently a Haworth man called Stanley Turner passed away. Several years ago his friend died despite the efforts of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Service crew to revive him.  Two decades ago Stanley decided to  set up the Bronte Tractor Run - a charity vehicle run to raise money for YAA, and by last year had raised over £45,000.  It started off with mainly tractors,  but these days includes vintage cars, Landrovers, fire engines etc.  Today the vehicle run was held as a memorial to Stanley, and what a turnout there was.  Quite a few Blippers out and about to capture the event - all in different locations.  It was great to see, and it even ended up with a traffic jam of tractors into the village at one point!  A scary moment when big tractors overtook a little vintage tractor in a blind dip, and there was a near miss with a car travelling in the opposite direction!  Lots of tooting horns and waves from the drivers to those watching.  Took masses of photos, but chose a few I liked best. I have a soft spot for old Morris cars so they had to feature.  Good to get out and see this, and have a short walk before the rain came down for  most of the afternoon!
