One of Repton’s Views

This is the view from the top of the hill where once stood the grand house in Panshanger Park. The landscape was designed by, and the work overseen by Humphrey Repton himself. He had the river dammed to make the Broadwater and planted the slopes either side to draw the eye. I think the outlook is a little flattened in this photo as the slope is steeper in reality.

As you can see, Peter & I had sunshine for our walk today.
