Happy Christmas

I went for a walk on Christmas night after over indulging on the Christmas dinner. I was in my mother in laws and this statue is outside a church near her. Some religions use a lot of imagery while others leave it to their flock's imagination as to what the saints and sinners look like. The Catholic church especially in Ireland would have a big influence in the statue figures. Every household used to have a statue of Jesus and the Child of Prague, one of Our Lady and Padre Pio.  It would be topped off with a red light with a holy cross inside. Oh and a picture of The Pope and of JFK and Jackie. (Thanks Raheny for that).
