Pause

No work on building site but simply ordered planks for the roof from local sawmill as described a few days ago.

Turning colder every day or rather night and this evening's dog walk was in fog with the farmers still very busy getting as much of their slurry spread before the winter ban starts on 1st December. The Law is basically that slurry can't be spread when there is no growth taking place to take up the fertiliser and thus it would be washed into the waterways with time. It also looks horrible if people spread the stuff on snow! Not quite sure whn the ban is lifted, possibly March. Law is a bit more tolerant for solid muck i.e. straw/bedding but I think that ban also starts on 1.12.
