The Lone Wolf

The Lone Wolf

Last man standing but how does it feel? I mean, literally, to have seen everyone of your comrades fall from your side leaving you to be the very last the one.

There he sat, holding on for dear life, a dogged determination to not let go in-spite of the freezing cold ravages of a winter on full throttle.

So, how does it feel? Well certainly lonely, and tiring too. Yet there’s pride there welling up from deep within, a sense that each minute grabbed is a further proof that the gods can be stalled.

There is no hint of hope because you one hundred per cent know what’s a coming, but, and here’s the rub, you still you refuse to let go. Why? Who knows. The strength for this comes from somewhere deep within, a connection to an ancient vein of strength that has always been there.

Why you? Why not you.
