Galloway Hills

Today's the day ………………………. to avoid

Although the temperature must have hovered around freezing point last night, we didn't wake up to any snow this morning.  Admittedly, the flag was frozen to the flagpole - but that was because both had spent the night on the lawn, as a precaution against the high winds of 'Bella'  the day before.

But other parts of Galloway - in particular those that were higher and more exposed - didn't fare so well.  This is the view from the banks of the River Dee looking north westwards towards Gatehouse-of-Fleet and the hills beyond, where there was a bit of a dusting of snow.

And, if the weather forecast is correct, there might be a bit more out there when we wake up tomorrow ……………………….
