Life after Burradoo, NSW

By MountGrace

Wild colour

These 'Red Hot Pokers' (Kniphofia) are growing wild on the side of the road near the golf course. They have only just started to flower. That's later than usual.

In some local council areas, which have national parks nearby, they are considered to be environmental weeds. Given that, it's surprising that our local council hasn't included them in their 'NO-NO' list. Morton National Park falls, in part, within our local government area.
