Daffodil

In the mild weather last week, the daffodils shot up.  This one even has a bud.  They have all gone into suspended animation now in this freezing weather.

For those of you interested in Alexa, we are getting on really well.  We are on first name terms.  She calls me Hilary (which is the H in the HClaireB).  She played me the BBC News headlines this morning, told me a joke (not as good as Bikerbear's), said the weather would be "dreary" and I can't disagree with that, added toothpaste to my shopping list, and is currently playing me McCartney III from Spotify.
