Sail day

Friends David & Patsy invited us for another sail day. Today the sun shone brightly and the winds were a force to reckon with.

David was as cool as a cucumber throughout and I was in awe of his experience in these super windy conditions. Apparently the observatory hadn’t predicted that the winds would be that strong. 34 knots was the max that the boat recorded, which they said was pretty strong!

It really was a lovely day though and I did enjoy it all. We moored at Middle Island and had lunch there. Ocean Park was behind us and it was really sad to see NOTHING happening there. Theme parks are still closed.

Back to DB in the early evening and temps are going to be dropping big time, down to 6C over New Years. The evening felt like it had already happened!
