To the Post Office at Place St. Josse this morning and - YESSS! - found the place open at last. Redeemed my Mouse parcel which had been malingering there since the 22nd.

The main present was this George Mackay Brown book of Christmas stories. He has a style reminiscent of of the "1001 Nights" - you're drawn in & remain captive.

Two other Orkadian heroes heroes - Peter Maxwell Davies & the indomitable (extra) John Rae... The Cooncil excelled itself by dumping his statue in front of this ghastly prefabricated monstrosity what an indignity?

Thanks to the Blipfoto police my submission for yesterday became "non existent" - had the cheek to steal images from Agatha Christie movies & was rude about Kenneth Brannagh...
