More Snow

Our dear cat Fleur is a creature of habit.  Despite bringing a litter tray in each night when we lock her flap she resolutely refuses to use it.  When it snows L likes to keep her in after reading  that cat's can't scent in snow so might get lost if they venture too far.

Fleur had no intention of venturing far, just to the end of the garden where the trees prevented the soil from being covered in snow.  She duly completed her ablutions and headed back just as I was trying to get a shot of her in the snow (something along the lines of 'a black cat in a snow storm').  She was having none of it, she'd done what was needed and was heading back into the warm, so this was very much a grab shot as we passed.  I was still chuffed to get good focus (I wonder whether the new animal eye focus option on the camera had anything to do with that?) and loved the snow flakes adorning her head and whiskers.

After that we went to a funeral of one of our best friend's father.  Our first experience of a socially distanced service; no singing, masks on and a limit of 30 people, all sitting in chairs evenly spaced around the chapel.  No wake of course, so the post service moments were spent outside the chapel in the cold before we all headed home.

** All my thanks and appreciation for the reaction to yesterday's blip day post.  I'm trying to catch up with you all that have commented but just in case I miss you, thank you for the comments, stars and hearts that came my way. TO think only 364 entries to 10 years (let's not tempt fate).
