In amongst the greenery

A longish walk around the village streets this morning and it was very pleasant once the sun came out, with almost toasty warm fingers.

Yesterday I watched what looked like a long black snake drop out of one of next door's trees, but realised it was a huge broken branch that had been balancing across two live sections and that maybe a magpie or crow had landed and dislodged it.  Our lawn is similarly littered.
