Lock-keeper's House Lowsonford

Another bitterly cold day, with the odd snowflake falling as I visited Lowsonford, a small village in Warwickshire. Lowsonford has a small parish church, St Luke's and a pub, the Fleur de Lys. The Stratford-upon-Avon canal runs through the village and so it is a popular place to visit in the summer months. This is the Lock-keeper's house by the lock and bridge 41 on the canal. It has an unusually shaped, barrelled roof which is the same shape as the template that was used to build the bridges on the canal. If you would like to see more photos of Lowsonford you can find them here. If you'd like a musical accompaniment you could try this (one of my favourite Ralph McTell tracks).
