Scottish ring netter

Built from 1920s entirely of wood larch/pitch pine planking on oak frame with galvanised iron fastenings. They fished for herring in pairs with a net forming a ring trapping the fish in the net then 'brailed' into one of the boats. This is model four in a series of six styles of fishing boat made from the original plans....the only one I have which was bought on holiday in North Berwick in the 80s for £14 and graced the 'boat room' wall ever since.
