Steps

It was snowing again for a little while this afternoon and yesterday’s hasn’t melted which is always bad news on the unsalted streets of Edinburgh. I had to nip out for milk and a few other bits and pieces, quickly abandoned walking on the pavement after a couple of slips, stepped out onto the road instead, almost went my length, slid back to the ‘safety’ of the pavement. Ho hum. Anyway, made it to the foot of the hill with all limbs intact, took one look at the queue outside the supermarket and decided against waiting for twenty minutes in the snow. Wandered into Stockbridge instead, got milk, trudged home.
Such is the excitement here in Tier 4.
On a cheerier note, I made a cracking pot of soup! Lentil, chickpea, ham, tomato and kale. The leftovers have taken a hammering.
