The Allotment

Snow turns to hard slippery ice. The allotment is always worth a visit. You might expect to find fresh virgin snow, but you can guarantee some animal has been plodding through your plot. The nets were heavy with snow but the pidgeons hadn't noticed.

I was delighted to come home with some winter salad leaves which have been hiding under a pain of glass from my mother's dining room cabinet.
