Takeaway

You never know where your next meal might be coming from and this shortie today was harassed with crows and a kestrel trying to steal his food. I have 600 shots - just because. They were all very distant and I didn't know which to post. 

So decision time.

rare to see it with a vole
 rare to see it eating the vole
 even rarer to see it eating a vole on the wing - which it had to do with all the thieves/predators around.

To balance the unhappiness of being in a Tier 4, I am trying to get myself into the zone as we all there today were.  There is life  on the other side.
