Hand Grenades

Started the day by making our first mince pies, so we could eat them on a zoom (well, Jitsi, actually) meeting - and then couldn't face it - but were really good when I did eat one - my own mincemeat and orange zest pastry.

And then to Évora, where we hardly ever go now, but needed to get a source of heat for the other room, it's unusable with the low temperatures we've been having. Took the rest of the day, but ended up getting a good deal on a pellet burner. And then forgot to load the pellets we'd paid for, so had to stop in Reguengos on the way back to get some. (Rang the shop in Évora, and they'll keep our pellets till we go collect them on the 4th, first time we can.)

Walked within the walls to get some cast iron hooks, were there when the lights went on - these always make me smile as they look like hand grenades coming down.

Gratefuls:
- the support group meeting this morning, so encouraging and fun as well
- managing to decide on a stove, we almost gave up at one point
- seeing a murmuration as we left Évora
