Stove Rescue

We very rarely use the stove. It's been in place for 14 years and never before have we had to release a bird from its confines. This morning I walked into the lounge to the sound of 'tap, tap, tap'. It transpired that a wren was asking to come into the room by politely tapping on the glass of the stove door! Handily, the bird had made a good job of clearing the ash through the grate by treading/hopping about. We opened the lounge windows and the wren flew straight out of the house without pause.
