Its the Way It Is

Love Dublin

I had a swim at 8am in Bray, Co. Wicklow with 4 friends at a distance. We had coffee and rasher sandwiches and our usual chat. It was about Brexit mostly (one swimmer is from London married to Irish guy who owns a small manufacturing company which exports exclusively to UK). She was feeling worried. But we had our swim and the grub and she said she felt better after sharing her worries with us.

I went for a stroll along Sandymount (which lies on Dublin Bay) after lunch which is my blip today. It has been a lovely bright day and lots of families out walking. Lots of tinys out on their tricycles that Santie brought them with dads and mums running after them. Whoever invented stabilizers had their head screwed on the right way ‘cos they prevent many a wobbly fall. The air was crisp and salty - what more could you ask for!

2021 is upon us and I wonder what it will bring. I said that very sentence on this day in 2020 and who could have foreseen....

But it’s good to be alive and kicking, no matter what
