Time

I like the fact that my watch glows in the dark. I like glow-in-the-dark things.

I like light in the darkness. (Wanted to link to the Velvet Underground song "I'll Be Your Mirror" here but stupid GEMA rules mean I can't.)

Elections in Germany are held on a Sunday and we had one today for Mayor. The usual suspects (CDU, Green & SPD) and a couple of deluded souls independents were on the list. I voted because I'm not as cynical about politics in this country as I was about them in Schottland/Großbritannien. My vote won't make a difference (Wiesbaden is a very conservative city) but it was good to feel like a citizen and not quite as much an Ausländer.
